This happened after a 29-second controversial clip, seemingly showing him with a young woman, went viral online. While the video allegedly shows Alauddin in a compromising situation, its authenticity is still not clear. Some locals suggest that it’s a ‘honey trap,’ though no official confirmation has been announced. Amid this, the Ministry of Public Administration has responded to this viral video by making Alauddin an OSD signed by a senior assistant secretary. This removes him from all administrative duties until further investigation.

For the unversed, Md Alauddin has denied the clip’s authenticity and has alleged that it was a deepfake made through AI to defame him. He also claimed that the video was made viral with malicious intent linked ot its previous posting area. After this leak, he allegedly left his workplace and was unreachable with his phone switched off. Authorities have still not confirmed a formal investigation, and this has left the public waiting for clearance on the next steps.
