Ghaziabad Teens Su*cide Case: Father Reportedly Had More Than Two Wives, Know More

Three teen sisters reportedly jumped from their 9th floor apartment in Ghaziabad.

It seems that the Ghaziabad case, where three teen sisters, Nishika, 16, Prachi, 14, Pakhi, 12,  reportedly jumped from their 9th-floor apartment, is more than what meets the eye. This incident happened last Wednesday after their father allegedly took away their phones because of their gaming addiction. As the investigation for the same unfolded, it was revealed that their father, Chetan Kumar, had more than two wives. Know the latest shocking updates of the case below!

Ghaziabad Teen Sisters’ Su*cide Case Updates

According to NDTV, police sources have revealed that the logic was missing in Deepak Kumar’s testimonies. He initially alleged that he married his second wife out of necessity because of his first wife’s inability to have kids, yet the ages of Deepak’s children suggest otherwise. A police officer stated that he had been changing statements, adding that Deepak tried to hide his marriage to his third wife, Tina. He has three wives– Sujata, Hina and Tina, who, along with five kids, slept in one room of the 3 bhk flat in Ghaziabad. It was reportedly revealed that he fathered a daughter and a mentally challenged son with Sujata.

ACP Atul Kumar Singh reportedly said that Deepak mentioned marrying Hina because Sujata couldn’t conceive. Deepak’s testimony points out that he married his first wife in 2010, her sister Hina in 2013, and Tina, who had converted from Islam to Hinduism in 2023. His reason for marrying Hina doesn’t make sense, as per the police, as Sujata’s daughter was believed to be 16 at the time of her passing. The police officer stated that the women had consented to marriages and didn’t complain. He had two daughters with Hina, belived to be 12 and 14, and had a three-year-old daughter with the youngest wife, Tina (22).

What Else Was Revealed?

As per the report, it was also revealed that Sujata and Hina’s sister had died in 2018 after falling off the balcony while visiting them. The family did not file any police complaint and it was treated as an accidental death. For the unversed, a 30-page diary was recovered that revealed that the three teens experienced frustration after their father took away their phones. Additionally, it was also reported that Deepak Kumar had a debt of Rs. 2 crores and sold his daughters’ phones to pay the electricity bill. The three teens were not reportedly sent to the school as a result of his debt, even after Covid 19 went away.
