Late evening on December 26, the news of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh getting admitted to hospital broke the internet. Just hours later, Viral Bhayani revealed via a post that the political leader is passed away at the age of 92. Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS Delhi on Thursday after his health condition worsened. While the reason behind his hospitalisation wasn’t revealed, the Indian Politician was reportedly admitted to the emergency department of the hospital.

What Happened To Manmohan Singh?

According to media reports, the office of the former Prime Minister revealed that he was admitted due to “extreme breathlessness”. He was also shifted to the ICU following his hospitalisation. He was later declared dead by the AIIMS Delhi doctors. The Indian Politician was reported unwell for a long time before his death.

In an official statement, AIIMS Delhi shared that Dr Manmohan Singh was brought to the hospital after he suddenly lost consciousness at home. While resuscitative actions were taken immediately at home, he could not be revived even after the best efforts by the doctors after being brought to the hospital. The statement also reveals that the Indian Politician was struggling with age-related health issues.

Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra was one of the first people to share a post to reveal the news of his death while sending condolences to his family.

Minutes after the news of the former Prime Minister broke the internet, social media users took to X and Instagram to express grief. In fact, political leaders Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, JP Nadda and more also rushed to AIIMS Delhi to meet the family of Dr Manmohan Singh and support them as they mourn his demise.
