What Happened?
A video of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar surfaced on Twitter. In this video, the CM is seen honouring a young female doctor with an award; however, Nitish Kumar’s action of trying to pull down the girl’s hijab did not sit well with the Netizens. Many Twitter users bashed him for being disrespectful towards the woman, and they clearly do not approve of his action. Former actor and Dangal star Zaira Wasim also penned her thoughts on the incident. In this angry note, Zaira Wasim firmly wrote that a woman’s dignity was not prop to be played with. She was also infuriated to see a woman’s hijab being pulled down on a public stage, and that too with a smile on the man’s face. The actor called for an apology from the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.
Many people reacted to Zaira Wasim’s Tweet. Many women in the comment section agreed with Zaira and the expressed their rage about the whole situation. However, one user opined that the action looks bad, however, the user further opined that the CM’s intentions behind only came across a father figure who did not want to young woman to hide her face while receiving an award.
