Explainer: How Is Instagram Connected To Threads? Twitter Shares Insights About Meta’s New App!
This new app was not needed though!

There are so many social media platforms available to put forth our opinions, raise issues and have discussions. Twitter was considered to be a decent place to have intellectual conversations with random strangers until recent times. However, now, the micro-blogging site faces tough competition from Instagram. Yes, hard to believe because they are totally opposite but not after the launch of Threads. It is a new app launched by Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta that provides a space for its user to write their thoughts and engage with each other. And don’t worry you will not need a new account for it. Here’s a little explainer that will help you understand it better.
✨ Threads is here – a new app where you can share updates and join convos ✨

What Is Threads?
Threads was finally launched by Meta, which is the parent company of Facebook. For the unversed, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta also owns Instagram and Whatsapp. The concept of Threads is more like Twitter but it has some resemblance to Instagram too. You can download the Threads app, but you need to log in with your Instagram ID and password only. Unlike Twitter, Threads has a word limit of 500 characters. The similarity lies in the fact that even on Threads, users can engage in discussions, and reshare other’s posts. Threads are indirectly linked to Instagram so one can share their posts on Insta stories too! Threads’ visual looks a lot like the Instagram comments section.

Instagram And Threads
Meta’s new launch will not require starting afresh because it already has linked Threads to Instagram, where they have a vast number of users. So if you make an account on Threads, your Instagram followers will automatically follow you there too. Also, a Threads account can only be deleted if you delete your Insta account. Many Twitter users reacted on this and have shared their opinions.
To delete your threads profile and data,
You will need to delete your instagram account as well 😅😅!!— Vikas Soni ✪ (@vikas_soniy) July 7, 2023
Deactivating Threads without deleting Instagram? That's like trying to untie a knot without any loose ends. Looks like they're stitched together for good!

I attempted to join up to Threads but found that it is not possible without first signing up for Instagram, which I have no wish to do. https://t.co/oX6R2cP5rx

After using Threads, people have shared their insights about it and their opinions are kaafi to the point! And it also looks like Twitter is winning the competition already!
First couple of days on Threads:
*Excited
*Nonplussed
*Everyone's on there but no one engages
*Like Instagram without pictures
*Crappy algorithm
*Slow uptake, ergo quality posts.
*Posts
*Twitter hates the word Threads so tweets with that word get no traction.— Unappreciated Quality 🫦 (@GilliJamtin) July 7, 2023
Threads are ONLY for Instagram people! I’m not on it 🙏
And IG is filled with narcissistic, shallow, “I, Me, Myself” types.

#threads is all cool and fun but I don't see unverified users(non blue tick people) are getting any reach. I posted dozens of threads no reach. Like talking to the wall.

Why make another app similar to Twitter is a valid question right now!
