In recent turn of events, a 19-minute video is going viral on social media, and the internet is confused about what it is really about. The chaos reportedly started after claims that it was a private video, allegedly showing a young couple. Many posts online described it as ‘explicit’ footage filmed in a hotel room, and others claimed that the couple were in compromising positions or engaged in such conversations, while others revealed that they might have been captured without their knowledge. Many users on the internet that part of the 19-minute 34-second video could AI AI-generated, and it is important to note that none of these claims are verified, and no organisation has also authenticated the video. There is no clarity about the people in the video, and the identity of the individuals is still unknown, along with the information about whether it was leaked, staged, or digitally altered. The edited versions are labelled ‘Season 2’ and ‘Season 3’ and have further fueled the suspicion of AI.

As rumoured spread on Instagram, Facebook, and X (Previously Twitter), it triggered a lot of memes, jokes, and misinformation, leading to many women being accused. One of them was creator Zannat, who had to post a clarification video after her comment section was filled with the ’19 minutes’ video remark. She said, “Hello, guys, first take a good look at me, and now look at her… Do I look like her from anywhere? Tell me in the comments, no, right? Then why is everyone coming to my comments and writing ‘19 minutes’? Someone else’s mess is being pinned on me… like, what even is this?” She said that the media and trolls were making her go viral for free, and she was glad to have the followers and views due to it.

Why You Shouldn’t Share This Video
The rumoured clip reportedly got an underground market of users offering between Rs 500 to Rs 5000 for the 19 minutes 34 seconds video, despite the laws governing the circulation s*xual content. Section 67 of the IT Act states that spreading obscene information online can result in up to three years in prison and a Rs 5 lakh punishment for a first offence. Under Section 67A, disseminating sexually explicit content can result in up to five years in prison and a Rs 10 lakh fine. Sections 292, 293, and 354C of the IPC additionally make it illegal to distribute obscene or voyeuristic content.
