What Saina Nehwal Said
During the exclusive chat, Saina Nehwal opened up being though all the time, and never being a ‘girly girl. She said, “There’s always that boyish touch in us. I feel like when I talk to girly girls. I am always confused on what to say to them. Because they must get bored when I talk about sports all the time, and at the same time I never get their conversations since I’ve never had those growing up. That’s why I dont go out much and I only talk to the boys who I’ve grown up including my husband. The other reason about me not going out much is because I’ve not seen that world, so I just prefer sitting at home chilling and playing with my dog.”
She further added, “I’ve always had a bob haircut, and when I was growing up I had a boy cut. I was introduced to makeup when people started inviting me to event. This was strange to me because I always thought that one can win people’s hearts through medals and that looks should never matter. Yes you should dress well and look presentable, but it should not be the case that you can be something only because you look good. I always dream about being number 1 and for me sports will always be a priority. I’m a bit in touch with makeup now because of my niece and my sister, but I still stay confused.”
