Even before Elon Musk took over Twitter, people were extremely skeptical about the future of the social media platform. People were concerned about what would happen to the freedom of speech they enjoyed on the platform, what would happen to the people who were banned, etc. And it seems like their worst fears have come true as Elon Musk reinstates three people who were banned by Twitter – Kanye West, Andrew Tate, and Donald Trump.
Yes, since his takeover, Elon Musk restored accounts of Donald Trump, Kanye West, and Andrew Tate who were banned from Twitter for spreading hate and sharing their problematic views on women.
Kanye West
Back in October, Kanye West (now Ye) was banned from Twitter after he posted a tweet about going “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE”. And now, thanks to Elon Musk, he is back. No sooner did his account get restored, West tweeted, “Testing… Testing… Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.”

Andrew Tate
It was back in 2017 that Andrew Tate was banned from Twitter after he was heavily criticised by people online for his incendiary and misogynistic comments. In fact, his comments were so despicable that even Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok banned him.

After being reinstated by Elon Musk, Andrew Tate tweeted, “I’ve decided to fly to the failed state of California, walk into twitter HQ and tell @elonmusk he’s a legend. On my way.”
Donald Trump
In January 2021, Donal Trump was banned from Twitter after he wrote a tweet in support of the US Capitol riots. Following his tweet, the social media platform decided to suspend the former president’s account for violating the Glorification of Violence Policy.
And a few days ago, Musk took a Twitter poll and asked the users whether or not they wanted Donald Trump back on the platform. Nearly 15 million Twitterati voted to get him back on the social media app and so, Elon Musk unbanned Trump’s account.
The people have spoken.
Trump will be reinstated.

This isn’t about free speech – this is about violent men having platforms where they can spread hatred and influence the next generation of young boys and men.— Kaleidoscope News (@kaleidoscope_au) November 20, 2022
