In recent events, the late Sahil Daneshra’s mother has urged that the underage driver be tried as an adult, along with stricter action against his father for allowing him to take the wheel. The police have filed an FIR against the minor’s father, who said that he was ‘sorry’ and ‘regretful’ and said that he was not in Delhi on the day of the crash.

During a chat with TOI, Inna Makan said that she would appeal for stricter action to be apprehanded to it. She also added that she was willing to wait for his postmortem report before taking a legal step. For the unversed, the case is about a 17-year-old recklessly driving a Mercedes-Benz and hitting Siddharth Sharma, 32. This accident also sparked a massive debate over parental responsibility. This is a loss that can never be recovered.

As per Sahil Daneshra’s friends, he was a happy-go-lucky person who spent his teenage years watching motivational content online and dreaming of an ambitious future. His mother, Inna, recalled how his wallpaper was of a sports car and a luxurious mansion, a constant reminder of his future dreams. Sahil had also gotten into a reputed university in Manchester in September and was supposed to fly to the UK in september to pursue his Master’s degree.

His motorcycle was a big evidence of his dream of independence, as he had financed it 11 months back through his savings after doing part-time insurance work and a small business with his cousin. Sahil’s mother recalled how he used to drop her to office, and those bike rides were their quality time in the chaotic schedules.
