Since the last few days, the internet has been filled with clips of Himanshu Jangra aka the Rs 370 Biryani guy, talking about his date experience on Pranit More’s stand-up show. After the same went viral, many started expressing how problematic this was and also called out the comedian for laughing at it instead of calling out Himashu. Along with netizens, celebrities and influencers, including Dolly Singh and Kusha Kapila, also spoke against this controversy!

Dolly Singh

After the controversy erupted, Dolly Singh shared a post on Instagram and called out Pranit More highlighting how he laughed, clapped, and asked to recreate the incident while Himanshu was narrating the date story. Dolly wrote how Pranit showed concern over a religious mention but not for a woman, adding that he calculated the price of a kiss at RS 12. The influencer called it “disgusting behaviour.”

Kusha Kapila

Kusha Kapila gave her view on the matter by sharing an Instagram story. She urged women to call out disgusting comedy. The content creator highlighted how choosing such clips is a choice and opting to crack certain jokes and hosting that on one’s channel is also a choice. Kusha stated that this is not called comedy. She then mentioned that she would order and buy biryani with her own money. In another story, the influencer also asked men to speak up against such remarks.

Sakshi Shivdasani

Sakshi Shivdasani slammed Pranit More’s apology by sharing a story on Instagram and mentioning that he said that the views of his audience member don’t reflect what he thinks, yet he chose to clip it and post it on Instagram because he found it funny that the man paying for a date thinks he has the right to sleep with a woman. She called this situation gross and disgusting.

4. Khushboo Patani

Disha Patani’s sister Khushboo also gave her opinion on Instagram by bashing Pranit More for not stopping Himanshu from sharing the Biryani date story. She also said these educated fools determine women’s rates and that it starts when girls go to school, colleges and then at a date. Khusboo further stated that it continues in marriages as well in the form of dowry. Then she showed a Nepali knife, which is called a Khukuri, and asked women to buy that instead.

Honestly, we are glad that this topic is being talked about heavily on social media because the problem isn’t just Himanshu but all the men who agree and think like him. Hopefully, such discussions will bring in some change and make the future slightly better for women than it is today!
