A mysterious and bone-chilling revelation has come from a middle-aged man, and it has given rise to suspicions around a mass murder and burial in Karnataka’s temple town, Dharamsthala. A SIT has been formed to investigate this case after an outburst from the activists. Read on to know more.
What Is The Dharamsthala Case?
This shocking case in Karnataka came to light after a 48-year-old sanitation worker made some horrifying claims allegedly after 12 years of being silent. The man, now a whistleblower, went to the police and revealed that he had allegedly buried several bodies across the town of Dharamsthala, and most of the bodies were of women and minor girl. He also claimed to have witnessed the killing of some men too. As per the whistleblower, he was forced and blackmailed to carry out this between 1995 and 2015.
As per an Al Jazeera report, the man told in his statement that he was threatened to be killed and buried like the rest of them. The whistleblower also assured that police that he would ready for any kind of tests and would also lead them to some of the mass burial sites. The man gave a detailed description of naked dead bodies of women, who seemed to have been murdered after s*xual assault.
The whistleblower’s identity has not been revealed due to safety concerns. In his statement, he also given detailed descriptions of the some of the victims that he was forced to bury.

Many activists protested and demanded a thorough investigation in the matter, and the government has finally formed an SIT to dig deep.
