A bizarre case of murder is being reported from Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area. On Tuesday, a 29-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly murdering her 32-year-old husband and then trying to pass off his death as a suicide case. According to police, the woman, named Farzana Khan, has confessed to the crime and is currently under arrest. Read on to know more about the case.
After her arrest, Farzana Khan confessed to murdering her husband. Police had gone through her phone and search history. Farzana’s recent search history included “ways to kill a person” and “how to delete chat histories.”
A report by Amar Ujala states that Farzana told the police officers that she was unhappy in her marriage. She said her husband, Mohammed Shahid alias Irfan, had failed s*xually satisfy Farzana and has also incurred a huge debt due to online gambling. Khan also confessed to having an affair with her husband’s cousin, who lives in Bareilly. The cousin and Farzana often spoke to each other, and she sought s*xual satisfaction from him. Police are currently investigating his role in Mohammed Shahid’s murder.
On Sunday, Mohammed Shahid was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital by his brother. The doctors declared him dead on arrival. Farzana, his wife, claimed that Shahid had taken his own life because of huge gambling losses. However, the police spotted three stab wounds on his body. They noted how one of the wounds was fatal and could not have been self-inflicted.
It was then that the owner’s phone was checked and evidence was found, leading to Farzana confessing to her husband’s murder tearfully.

During interrogation, Farzana also disclosed that she had an abortion without telling her husband. Her statements that she was uncomfortable with Shahid’s physical relationship may not be accurate, according to investigators. Thus, police are investigating all possible angles for the case right now.
