Cricketer Shreyas Iyer Admitted To ICU In Sydney. Here’s What Doctors Are Saying!

In a recent turn of events, India’s ODI vice-captain, Shreyas Iyer, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a Sydney hospital after sustaining a rib cage injury during the third match against Australia. The cricketer, who had taken an effortless catch running from backwards point to dismiss Alex Carey, hurt his left rib cage doing the same. He was rushed to the hospital immediately after returning to the dressing room on Saturday. Read to know more about the case here.

The source also added that because there has been internal bleeding, he would undoubtedly require more time to recuperate, and at this stage, it is difficult to predict when he will return to competitive cricket. The 31-year-old is anticipated to stay in the Sydney hospital for at least a week before being cleared to travel back to India. Iyer is not a member of India’s Twenty20 team.
