In a recent turn of events, 36-year-old widow of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk has forgiven the man accused of killing her husband. She gave a deeply religious speech at a memorial event on Sunday for her late partner. Erica said that the reason she let go of it was that Charlie also wanted to save young men, just like his shooter. Read to know more about it here!
What Erika Kirk Said
Erika Kirk gave a speech with more than 60,000 attendees, including the US president, Donald Trump, in the southwestern state of Arizona. “That man, that young man. I forgive him,” Kirk said, her voice choking. She said that the late Charlie Kirk would have done the same thing, as the answer to hate is never more hate. For the unversed, Charlie Kirk was shot dead on September 10 during a public debate event at Utah university campus.
The activist supported Trump among young voters and fought for a nationalist, Christian-centric political worldview by using his millions of social media followers, his large podcast audience, and his university speeches.
Investigators said that the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, used the “hatred” he claimed Kirk was spreading to defend the attack. Kirk frequently made hateful remarks about minorities, such as Muslims, African Americans, transgender persons, and others, and he supported conservative Christian political ideals.

Robinson faces many charges for the shooting and the aggravated murder, and prosecutors have said they intend to seek the death penalty in his case.
