The entire country is waiting with bated breaths to see Chandrayaan 3 land safely on the moon. This mission marks India’s third attempt at lunar exploration after Chandrayaan 2 crashed on the moon after it entered the Satelitte’s orbit. The launching of Chandrayaan 3 was marked as a festival as hundreds of people had assembled near Sriharikota to watch the launch live. As per the timeline issued by ISRO, it is said that the lunar vehicle is supposed to land on the moon today at 6 PM. Twitter is flooded with prayers and even some happy memes from Indians who are wishing that Chandrayaan 3 lands safely.

The main purpose of Chandrayaan 3 is to collect materials to understand the moon’s surface better and conduct experiments as well. For the unversed, it is the ISRO scientist Ritu Karidhal, who is heading the mission. Karidhal is also known as the Rocket Woman of India.
Everyone has high hopes for this mission whose success will make us the fourth nation to have reached the moon.
