BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Ties The Knot With Renowned Vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad. Congratulations To The Couple!

Tejasvi Surya, the MP for Bengaluru South, married Carnatic vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad on Thursday in a private ceremony that was mostly hidden from the public. The wedding signalled the start of a new chapter in the two-time lawmaker’s life and was attended by close family members and a small number of political associates. On social media, a number of prominent figures posted snippets of the occasion and sent their best wishes to the newlyweds.

BJP leaders Annamalai, Pratap Simha, and Amit Malaviya were among those present and featured in the wedding photos. Union Minister V Somanna and Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra also attended the event and subsequently shared pictures from it online. With proficiency in Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, and visual arts, Sivasri Skandaprasad is a versatile artist who skilfully combines old and modern forms. She came from a musically illustrious family and studied classical Carnatic music under Guru A.S. Murali. She has performed at prestigious venues including Brahma Gana Sabha and Kartik Fine Arts.

She has participated in international cultural exchange programs in South Korea and Denmark, extending her artistic horizons beyond India. She studied for a master’s degree in Bharatanatyam at the University of Madras and earned a degree in bioengineering from SASTRA University. She also holds a certificate in Ayurvedic cosmetology and has studied Sanskrit.

Aside from her performances, she is the driving force behind ‘Ahuti,’ an initiative dedicated to reviving and fostering India’s 64 ancient art forms through comprehensive training programs. She has a large digital presence, with religious music available on her YouTube site and releases on platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.
