Bihar Woman Gang Raped In Ambulance After Fainting During Recruitment Test. Where Are The Men’s Rights Activists Now?

A bone-chilling case has been reported from Bodh Gaya, Bihar. A 26-year-old woman who fainted during a Home Guard recruitment physical test was allegedly gang raped in a moving ambulance while she was being transported to a hospital. Arrests have been made by the police based on the woman’s testimony. She reported that she was partially conscious when the incident happened. Read on to know more.

Woman Gang Raped Inside Moving Ambulance In Bodh Gaya, Bihar

The horrifying incident had reportedly occurred on July 24 when, after collapsing during her recruitment test, the woman was being transported to the hospital in an ambulance when she was gang raped. Hours after the incident, police arrested two suspects, Vinay Kumar and the ambulance driver Ajit Kumar. Vinay was the ambulance driver while Ajit, a technician.

The case was filed at the Bodh Gaya police station, and both suspects are in custody and under interrogation. Authorities have confirmed that CCTV footage from the surrounding area helped verify the ambulance’s route and the timeline during which the event occurred. 

According to the police complaint registered, the woman reported that she fainted during her physical test and was only partially conscious inside the ambulance. She also informed the hospital staff as well as the police that there were three to four men inside the vehicle who had s*xually assaulted her. 

News 18 reports that the city’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Kaushal, said, “On July 24, during a Home Guard recruitment race at BMP Bodhgaya, a female candidate fainted and was taken to the hospital… She reported a rape incident involving two accused—an ambulance driver and a technician—both of whom have been arrested and are undergoing medical examination.” 

Following the gang rape incident, Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) chief Chirag Paswan said in a statement that the administration has bowed down in front of criminals. He further questioned why such crimes keep happening, and if this continues, the situation will become frightening, which it already has.
