Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot are said to be on the brink of quitting after being caught in a video hugging each other!

Astronomer’s CEO Andy Byron and HR director Kristin Cabot are said to be on the brink of quitting after being caught in a now-famous video hugging each other while watching a Coldplay show in Boston. The kiss, which was caught on the concert venue’s kiss cam and spread across social media, has brought about a major corporate backlash as well as an internal probe within the firm.
Andy Byron, Kristin Cabot To Resign From Company
As per an Axios report, the public delay in the company’s response more than 24 hours after the video had emerged was owing to internal negotiations between Byron and the board over his resignation and terms of his exit package. According to sources, Byron and Cabot have been put on administrative leave and are cooperating with the company on the terms of their exit packages.
The firm’s initial public comment, published on LinkedIn, read that Astronomer’s Board of Directors has launched a formal investigation into the actions of the involved executives. Without specifically naming Byron or Cabot, the announcement read that company leaders have a high standard of professionalism and accountability to uphold. The post also squashed rumors surrounding the presence of another staffer, Alyssa Soddard, whose attendance at the concert was confirmed.
The reaction has been rapid, both within and outside. Workers were said to have been blindsided by the incident and angered by the inaction of the leadership at first. Several members of the team have questioned the implications of the scandal, particularly because Cabot is a senior HR executive responsible for defining internal workplace behavior policies.

In the meantime, outside pressure continues to mount. Traders on the prediction market site Kalshi put a high likelihood more than 70 on Byron resigning days after the controversy erupted. Industry analysts have questioned Astronomer’s corporate governance, especially how long the company waited before it acted and issued a public statement.
At this moment, Astronomer hasn’t confirmed the precise disciplinary or legal consequences awaiting Byron or Cabot.
