Indians are currently celebrating the cricket team’s win against the neighbouring country, Pakistan. The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav beat the opponent by 5 wickets in the match held in Dubai. To pay homage to the victims of the Pahalgam attack, and the armed forces who fought on the front line, the team’s captain decided to donate all his fee money. He also addressed the controversy of the trophy not being given to the winning team. Read on.
What Did Suryakumar Yadav Say?
Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav spoke about the team’s win and hailed the team’s efforts in securing a big win. During the press conference, he also announced donating his entire fee to the Indian armed forces. He also spoke about the controversy of the Indian team not receiving the trophy by the ACC. For the unversed, India had refused to take the trophy from the Asian Cricket Council head Mohsin Naqvi, and they were not awarded with the trophy.
Addressing this issue, Suryakumar Yadav expressed his shock and disappointment. The captain stated that he had not seen something like that in his time as a cricketer. He also hailed the team’s hard-work in winning the trophy and still not being presented with the trophy, as per TOI report.

The Indian team was refused the trophy after they denied accepting it from the ACC head. He did not participated during the ceremony when the players received their individual trophies. Later, Suryakumar Yadav, and and other cricketers posted edited pictures holding the trophy emojis.
