Ashok Kharat Case: Assault Videos Reportedly Removed From 170 Adult Websites, Survivors Face Harassment

Ashok Kharat, a self-styled Godman and astrologer, was arrested in a r*pe case. He is currently in police custody, which was recently extended by the Nashik court. Some shocking details have also been revealed by SIT regarding the disturbing videos that were retrieved. As per a report, many of these videos have now been taken down from several adult sites.
More Details On Ashok Kharat’s Videos
As per the SIT probe, Ashok Kharat had harassed over 150 women under the pretext of solving their issues. Now, as per a Marathi news report, a police source said that many videos of Ashok Kharat had leaked online despite a lot of attempts to avoid it, and they also hindered the probe. Furthermore, as per the report, many of Ashok Kharat’s videos were taken down from around 170 adult sites.
This has also created many problems for the survivors of harassment, as per a Lokmat report. Going by the reports, many of them, including their family members, have confined themselves to their houses. They have also reportedly requested remote working options. The report further said that the female survivors continue to face harassment despite the government’s best efforts to protect them.

His son was recently arrested by the police after Kharat’s name emerged in a land-related case, and as per the news reports, his wife has been absconding. The SIT had also launched an investigation into his daughter. His judicial custody is til April 14th, and police have been thoroughly investigating his mobile data and financial transactions.
