In recent events, the self-proclaimed godman Ashok Kharat’s case is still making headlines as he is currently in police custody and is being interrogated by the police. Amid new information emerging in the same, a joint investigation by the SIT and Nashik Police bout his financial empire has shocked everyone. So far, the man has 11 cases registered against him and has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. Read to know more about it here.

Recent reports reveal that Ashok Kharat will be presented in court for yet another case. It also revealed that he had built his financial empire with just cash transactions and no actual accounts. Reports also suggest that the SIT has inspected his bank accounts three times in the past three days, with his mobile also seized. For the unversed, he had purchased a property worth about 70 crores in the last four years with major investments around Pune, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar. It is also revealed that most of these payments were made in cash.

Apart from this, it has also come to light that Ashok Kharat paid about 5 lakhs to workers who worked on the bungalow and office in Nashik. The New Indian Express report also said that Kharat tricked vegetarians into eating fish in the name of medicine. The SIT she lighted upon his obscene tactics of luring women and s*xually exploiting them. Not just this, reports also suggest that his wife has absconded and that the police were on the lookout for her. And the police have arrested his son in a land-related case.
