Ashok Kharat has been in the police custody after accusations of r*ping a woman for months. The self-styled Godman and astrologer has been accused of having over 150 videos of women, as per the recent SIT probe. Ashok Kharat’s New Case
The Navy Officer turned astrologer is currently in police custody for harassment, cheating and r*pe-related cases. The police are currently investigating the data and alleged videos that were retrieved after his arrest. And now, some new updates on the case have surfaced. As per a report by Lok Shahi, a complaint has been registered against Ashok Kharat and five other men in a land-related case. According to it, it’s a land-related issue over a four-acre plot in Shirdi. The complaint has been filed by farmer Ravasahab Nanasahab Gondkar, the owner of the land. As per the complaint, the land was bought just for the amount of the interest, and the exact number stands at f 5 crore 52 lakh rupees. While two people have already been arrested in the matter, the police are on the lookout for others.
On the other hand, the probe by the Special Investigation Team has revealed shocking details in the Ashok Kharat Case. As per the police, the accused has allegedly assaulted over 150 women. Going by The New Indian Express, the accused used multiple mobile numbers to reach out to high-profile people, including women. SIT is also looking into his bank accounts and transactions. Earlier, the police had said that Ashok Kharat was not cooperating in the investigation, as per many news reports. His police custody was recently extended till April 1.
