Recently, an astrolger and self-styled Godman Ashok Kharat was arrested in several r*pe and s*xual assault cases. Under the pretext of helping the victims, he allegedly assaulted them. The SIT has launched an investigation, and in the recent updates, the Enforcement Directorate has also raided several places in connection with this case. Read here to know more about it.
Enforcement Directorate Raids Several Locations
The ED has also started to probe into the Ashok Kharat case. As per the latest report by Free Press Journal, the ED has raided several locations in the case. While not much information has been revealed as of now, it is known that the raids have been carried out in Nashik, Shirdi and Pune. As per the report, the ED has started investigations at five places in Nashik and three in Pune. and three in Shirdi. The investigation is still ongoing, and therefore, more updates are awaited.
For the unversed, Ashok Kharat was recently sent to five days in police custody in a third r*pe case. He was arrested in Nashik for allegedly r*ping a woman for months. The SIT revealed some shocking details in the case and claimed that Ashok Kharat assaulted victims under the pretext of helping them. Many Ashok Kharat videos also leaked on several adult sites, causing immense mental health issues to the survivors. The SIT assured them of preventing further leaks and removing videos from over 170 sites, as per the reports.
