Anaya Bangar Reveals Father Sanjay Bangar Asked Her To Leave Cricket For THIS Reason

Former India coach Sanjay Bangar’s trans-daughter Anaya Bangar, formerly Aryan, opened up about her gender transition and some painful experiences she faced in the cricket world. The 23-year-old revealed a lot of details including how her father told her that there was no space for her in the cricket domain. Bangar said that this led her to get some suicidal thoughts as she felt a lack of opportunities and space.

During a recent conversation with Lallantop, Ananya said, “He was just stating fact that there’s no place for me in cricket. I had to take a stand for myself. I did get suicidal thoughts as it felt like the entire world is against me.” She thought that her decision to take hormone therapy had left her no space and opportunities in the system. Though she had a family space, but in the cricket and exterior world, she felt a lack.

In the same conversation, Anaya said that she played with some well-known cricketers such as Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal. She did have to maintain her secrecy as her father was well-known, and that the cricket world was filled with insecurity and toxic masculinity. She also revealed jarring details about cricketers sending her n*des and proposals to sleep with her.

Anaya Bangar shared that the individual would often use abusive language publicly, yet later approach her privately, asking for her photos. On another occasion, while she was in India, she confided in a veteran cricketer about her circumstances. In response, he allegedly said, “Let’s go in the car. I want to sleep with you.”
