Anant Ambani’s Birthday Celebration In Jaipur Had Elephants In Traditional Rajasthani Attires, 3000 Kg Fruits, And More

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son, Anant Ambani, hosted his birthday celebrations at Jaipur’s Hathi-Gaon, which is a settlement housing over 100 elephants on the outskirts of the city. This celebration was organised by the Hathi Gaon Vikas Samiti, and the centrepiece included a cake-cutting ceremony with three elephants named Hathi Baby, Hathini Pushpa, and Hathini Chanda, who participated with their trunks.

The celebration included some special things, like a fruit buffet with a weight of over 3,000 kgs for elephants with bananas, watermelons, apples, green fodder, papaya, oranges, and other seasonal fruits. The elephant handlers who care for them every day, known as Mahouts, were also facilitated during this ceremony with ration kits, caps, footwear, clothing, and more. The elephants were dressed in traditional Rajasthani style for this occasion, with local administration and the Animal Welfare Department supporting the Samiti organising this event.

As per the Hathi Gaon Vikas Samiti president, Shafiq Ballu Khan, the preparations for this had been going on for several days. The Rajasthan government established this village in 2010 to give permanent and structured housing for elephants and their mahout families. For the unversed, Anant Ambani founded Vantara, which is a 3,00 acre wildfire rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation centre located in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. This is considered one of the largest of its kind in the entire world.

The facility is a home to over 200 elephants, tigers, and leopards who were rescued from neglect and abuse. Ambani had also contributed funds towards elephants’ welfare at many temples and institutions. The Samiti stated that it was this association that inspired them to celebrate his birthday in the community.
