Who is Alexandr Wang?
Wang is an MIT dropout who co-founded Scale AI in 2016. Alexandr’s company is a data labelling organisation which is used for training AI models. The 28-year-old led the company for nearly a decade before shifting to Meta. Wang’s current net worth is set to be around 3.2 billion USD. Wang, the founder of Scale AI and Meta AI’s chief executive, recently appeared on an episode of the TBPN podcast, where he urged children to immerse themselves fully in ‘vibe coding’.
What Is Vibe Coding?
In the podcast, Alexandr Wang said, “If you are, like, 13 years old, you should spend all of your time vibe coding. That’s how you should live your life,” Wang was heard saying in the podcast, where he also urged teens to dedicate 10,000 hours to using and practising applications of AI tools, which he assured would grant them “a huge advantage”
Vibe coding refers to AI-assisted coding that inputs natural language, a form of coding that has recently become mainstream and is used by tech giants like Google and Microsoft.

The invention of tools such as Replit and Cursor, which generate coding blocks by just entering simple prompts, has popularised the concept of vibe coding. With the help of vibe coding, even non-tech users can be able to build apps and websites by giving AI prompts in simple English.
