The shocking Hema Committee Report has revealed some serious s*xual harassment allegations against prominent Malayalam Film industry stars. The report that was under wraps for the last five years was finally revealed and since then the concerned film industry has seen turmoil with many women coming forward to speak about it. Many actors like Revathy, Minu Muneer and Kanika Dhillon among others have strongly reacted to the accusations in the Hema Committee Report.
Kanika Dhillon
The Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba writer Kanika Dhillon shared her thoughts on the Hema Committee Report and wrote how the malpractices against women in one of the industries make people from across the same industry think and learn. Kanika Dhillon also hailed the report for highlighting the wrongdoings against women and stated that the workspace can only become safer when such practices come to the surface.
Revathy
In an interview with News18, veteran actress Revathy bashed senior actors like Mohanlal and Mammootty for remaining silent on the disturbing Hema Committee Report. She also added that the stars would have been equally moved by the report but instead of speaking up, they are choosing silence.
Shammi Thilaken
Shammi Thilaken who has primarily worked in the Malayalam film industry also put forth his opinion on the report and stated that people must face serious repercussions for their actions and take accountability for it. He also added that some people who are idolised in the industry should be removed from the pedestal.
Minu Muneer
Reacting to the Hema Committee Report, Malayalam actress Minu Muneer also accused many senior actors from the industry of harassment. This list includes names like Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Idavela Babu, and Jayasurya. She also criticised senior actors like Mohanlal for not speaking a word on the issue and called it shameful.

Swara Bhasker
Swara Bhasker also reacted to the Hema Committee Report and called it ‘heartbreaking’. She also added that most of the experiences are similar and called the film industry, a patriarchal and male-dominated industry. She called for strong action and extended her support to women who showed the courage to speak about it.
A seven-member Special Investigation Team has been set up to investigate the cases.
