After the shocking news of Noor Malabika Das’s death, the actor’s family has finally broken their silence. Noor’s family claimed that the late actor was suffering from depression and was unsatisfied with her career. Noor Malabika Das was a former co-star of Kajol in the Disney+ Hotstar series The Trial. The actor tragically passed away in her Mumbai residence. She was only 32 years old at the time of her death.

According to news reports, the late actor was not satisfied with her achievements and was suffering from depression. Noor Malabika Das was originally from Karimganj in Assam. Her paternal aunt, Arati Das, addressed the media from their family home in Karimganj and described the late actor as someone who “went to Mumbai with big hopes to become an actress” and was working hard to achieve this. Malabika’s dissatisfaction with her achievements led her to take this drastic action.

Furthermore, the Mumbai Police reported that actress Noor Malabika Das was found in a decomposed state in her apartment in the Andheri, Oshiwara area. It is alleged that she took her own life by hanging herself. Noor’s body was discovered by the cops after the neighbors made a report of a foul smell. The police found her body, collected medicines, her mobile phone, and her diary, and sent her for a postmortem examination. An NGO cremated her body when her family did not claim her remains.

Who Was Noor Malabika Das?

 

Noor Malabika Das has appeared in several films and web series. Before entering the entertainment industry, she worked as an air hostess for Qatar Airways and also pursued a career in modeling during her college days. She began her acting career with roles in various films and web series including Backroad Hustle, Siskiyaan, Walkaman, Teekhi Chatni, Jaghanya Upaya, and Charamsukh. Her breakthrough came with the 2023 legal drama The Trial, where she starred alongside Kajol and received appreciation for her significant role in the Hindi remake of the show The Good Wife. Additionally, Noor was last seen in the movie Gharwali Baharwali, which was released on May 31.
