The grieving mother of the woman penned a very heart-wrenching letter to narrate the ordeal of her daughter and the work pressure she was forced to take.
Grieving Mother Pens An Emotional Note
The mother of the 26-year-old Anna Sebastian Perayil, Anita Augustine penned a letter to grieve the death of her young daughter. In this letter, she made some strong allegations against her daughter’s manager and the work pressure that was put on her for 4 months. Her mother revealed that her daughter’s first job at EY Pune took a toll on her mental and physical health. She also alleged that her daughter’s manager would assign her work late in the night, and if she ever revolted, they defended it by saying that working late at night is a common practice.
Anna worked as a Chartered Accountant at EY Pune. While recalling her work days at the organisation, her mother wrote that she used to come home exhausted, and on some days, Anna would also hit the bed without changing her clothes. Anita Augustine also revealed that her daughter used to work on weekends and hardly got time to catch a breath. She alleged that none of the senior employees from the organisation came to the funeral of a woman who gave her all to the company till her last breath.

The grieving mother also alleged that the company glorified overwork and their working environment was different from the policies. She wrote that her daughter was trying to prove herself in a new working environment and hardly said no to her seniors. Anita Augustine also reached out to the company but got no response from the seniors.
As per news reports, the reason behind the woman’s death is still not clear, however, the doctor had flagged that she was under extreme stress and was not getting enough sleep.
