21-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Matrimonial Home
As per Zee News, the 21-year-old woman, Palak Rajak, who was a resident of Suraiya Pura, had tied the knot in April 2025. She was discovered hanging in her matrimonial home and declared dead at the Birla Hospital. Atul Kumar Soni, City Superintendent of Police, reportedly confirmed the incident and stated her family’s claims hinted at a pattern of harassment which allegedly started early in the marriage. He said that within just three to four months of wedding, the in-laws allegedly started taunting her and demanding a vehicle. This distressed Palak and she frequently discussed it with her own family members. Additionally, the 21-year-old’s family alleged that her in-laws had withheld her Stridhan while allegedly continuing to taunt her. The SP also reportedly stated that a case would be registered against the in-laws based on recorded statements, postmortem, and evidence they have gathered.
What Did Her Father Say?
As per the reports, Mahor Singh, Palak’s father stated that he tried to intervene repeatedly. He shared that his daughter told him that her in-laws were demanding a car, adding that he would speak to them repeatedly, but after a few days they would go back to old ways, which involved allegedly physically abusing and subjecting her to taunts. He asked for the strictest possible action, saying that such a thing should never happen to anyone else’s daughter again.
