13-Minute 14-Second Viral MMS: Police Arrests Rewa Man For Allegedly Uploading Wife’s Private Video

In recent events, in a disturbing case from Rewa, the police have arrested Shivam Sahu for reportedly recording and sharing a 13-minute, 14-second intimate video of his wife on an adult website. He also allegedly pressured her family over dowry demands and has now been sent to judicial custody as authorities investigate multiple charges, including dowry harassment, cybercrime, and criminal intimidation.

As per the police, Shivam Sahu got married to the woman on May 10, 2025, after which her family alleged that he soon started harassing their daughter for dowry. Rs 3 Lakh were allegedly demanded during the wedding, out of which Rs 2 Lakh were paid by them. However, pressure for the remaining amount allegedly continued over the following months. The complaint also states that the accused recorded a private video of his wife without her permission and then later circulated it on social media and among relatives.
When his wife objected, he reportedly threatened to defame her, and investigators also claim that the 13-minute 14-second video was uploaded on an adult website, which turned it into a serious case of s*xual exploitation and blackmail. Police also revealed that after the video surfaced, the accused went into hiding in Mumbai and on February 13, he allegedly arrived at the woman’s home in Maunganj carrying a weapon and threatening them.

Officers were notified and formed a cordon before detaining him. His electronic gadgets have been confiscated and forwarded for forensic analysis. Authorities have filed a case under pertinent parts of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act, as well as dowry harassment and criminal intimidation. Officials verified that severe legal action is being taken, and the victim is being protected and supported.
