In the note, Zayn expressed the grief and loss that he is experiencing after losing his dear old friend. Zayn wrote that he wished for many more conversations with Liam and addressed his friend in the first person throughout the note. Zayn thanked Liam for always being supportive as a friend and recalled their teenage days when they used to take tours for One Direction. Zayn Malik shared how Liam Payne would console him with a 'reassuring smile' when he used to miss his family at 17. Zayn Malik also hailed Liam Payne as the most qualified musician and saviour of the boy band. Zayne further wrote that he could give in anything just to give Liam Payne one last hug and to say that one last goodbye to him.
