K-pop girl group BLACKPINK have recently been proving their status as one of the most successful bands in the world. The group’s latest achievement is a perfect testament to that. After a long wait of two and a half years, BLACKPINK reunited as a group and released a new song titled ‘JUMP’. Ever since the track’s release, ‘JUMP’ has been taking over charts globally. BLACKPINK's Historic Achievement On Spotify Recently, BLACKPINK made history by becoming the first ever group to have three different songs spend multiple days at #1 on the Global Spotify chart. According to YG Entertainment on July 14, JUMP ranked No.1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart. The group previously topped the same chart with ‘Pink Venom’ and ‘Shut Down,’ the pre-release and title tracks from their 2022 full-length album. Interestingly, only two K-pop groups have managed to chart #1 on the global Spotify chart. BTS follows BLACKPINK closely at spot number 2, with two songs having charted at #1 on the Spotify chart. Fans are more proud of this achievement because BLACKPINK’s JUMP was released with less to no promotion from the group or their agency. The song was first performed at BLACKPINK’s first concert for their DEADLINE tour in Seoul. The group dropped a music video for it a few days later.
