As per an NDTV report, around 25 rounds of shots were fired at the cafe. This further damaged the window panes of the cafe, and around 10 bullets were recovered from the windows. As per the reports, in a social media post, the responsibility of the attack was taken by Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon, and Lawrence Bishnoi. In the social media video, the sound of the gun firing was heard with someone saying that the target did not answer the ring and if that happened again, they would take a strong action in Mumbai. Reportedly, the Mumbai agencies have come into action after the case and Kapil's cafe, Kaps Cafe, and are looking into the matter. This the second time that an attack at the cafe had taken place. However, as per the reports, the Kaps Cafe owners are determined to not give in to the violence and stand on their message of warmth and community.
