Just the day before, Kiara and Sidharth had made a sincere appeal to the media and the public. In a statement released on the internet, the couple thanked the media and their fans for the love and support but requested that this new chapter in their lives be kept private. They explained that they wished to spend the first days of parenthood in seclusion, stating that they would like no photos, just blessings.
