Imtiaz recalled the day of the screening as he talked about Gurmail Kaur, Chamkila and Amarjot's son Jaiman Chamkila, and his daughters were all present at the screening. He added that Chamkila's first wife was sitting right beside him for the screening and Imtiaz was worried that she would 'attack' him when any sensitive scenes were playing. He expressed his hopes about Amar Singh's acquaintances liking the film. Imtiaz also talked about his choice of not whitewashing Chamkila's real character in the movie. He confessed that he decided not to whitewash his character adding that it was the main point of making the film. He also added that Chamkila had done a lot of things that made people judge him but Imtiaz chose to let the story be the same. Imtiaz Ali gave credit to Chamkila's family for being understanding towards the idea of the film, also adding that they did not stop him in any way.
