Seems like the controversies with Mnet’s K-pop boy group survival shows are endless. In the recent episode of the show, the Korean contestants known as Planet K showcased their intense performing skills with the signal song test. The test was an important part of the second ranking evaluation that each contestant undergoes by the show’s coaches, also known as masters. However, the elimination of a specific member has led to fans accusing the show of being rigged. Read on to know more. Why Fans Think Lee Hyeop's Elimination Was Rigged In Boys Planet II The judges were surprised by DRIPPIN Lee Hyeop’s amazing singing ability. But his dancing was considered weaker compared to other trainees; therefore, the judges deferred his promotion. The test's final ranks were calculated by adding the Star Creator points (30%) and the masters' scores (70%) based on how many people liked and viewed each contestant's fancam for the signal song HOLA SOLAR. After the scores were counted and finalised for all the members, 17 contestants were sent home. Among these 17 contestants was Lee Hyeop, a DRIPPIN member. His elimination left many shocked, as Hyeop’s performance was good and did not show any significant mistakes Fans quickly pointed fingers at Mnet and Boys Planet II for this unfair treatment. Many claim that Lee Hyeop’s elimination was a deliberate move to lessen competition for the show’s already favoured contestants.
