How often do you find yourself appreciating men around you. Be it your dad, best friend, boyfriend or someone sitting next to you in office, men are deprived of appreciation in the smallest forms. No wonder, their reactions are scary and sometimes surprising. Just recently we spotted a bunch of them, discussing their opinions on women complimenting them, and the reactions are pretty interesting.

When asked by a reddit user–” What goes through your head when a girl compliments you?” A bunch of male users arrived to share their reaction. Check out some interesting responses.

While a bunch of them shared their instant reaction which was “Don’t fuck it up,” and eventually do it, some others interestingly suggested that they find it quite appalling and suspicious. One second, what?

Some others also said that they instantly find themselves assessing what motives she has behind complimenting them. And the first few questions that pop into their head are–”marriage, does she wanna bear my kids?” and more.

These surprising reactions either stem out of a trauma, past experience, or plainly just men being deprived of compliments.

Some other reddit users also dropped some personal stories, while sharing their reaction.

Through these reactions, we figured out how men are not accustomed to being appreciated in general, which leads them to reacting in an unusual way. And while they might think the girl has a motive behind these compliments, let me tell you how most girls don’t. They don’t always wanna date you, flirt with you or just bear your children. They are just being sweet and nice to you. So, ladies, take this as a reminder that men also love being appreciated, so please continue to do so.
