Prince Harry Being On Ponytail Watch For Meghan Markle Is More Than Just ‘Being Cute’; It’s Unparalleled Emotional Support

No amount of big and loud gestures of love could match the quaint and calm displays of affection that partners display towards each other. A look of reassurance when one feels overwhelmed, a pause at the end of the stairs to grab hold of your partner’s hand and the sheer braveness of flicking a bug out of their shoulder when you spot one…it is the little things that matter!

For the skeptics out there who think such small gestures are rare in relationships, we have something to change your mind. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex are a great representation of marital bliss, not because they are Royals but because of the companionship, they share for two people living under such harsh media scrutiny. And a recent viral video of Prince Harry being on “Ponytail Watch’ for his wife is proof of how being attentive is just an endearing trait to have in a spouse.

The compilation that has dubbed Pince Harry as “the most attentive husband”, shows him fixing his wife’s hair every time it’s is subjected to being messed up. From straightening it before a picture to settling it after wind catches it, it’s all very charming. I am not someone to get caught up in such ‘mushy’ details but I still found myself watching it on repeat and hoping for a similarly considerate partner in the future…and a sleek ponytail like Meghan’s cuz’ that hair is gorgeous!

But as we mentioned, this is not just about ‘being cute’. Body language expert Judi James argues that while Prince Harry and Markle’s acceptable PDA is a sign of their relationship being loving and romantic; some of these touches were an attempt to reassure and calm each other. “Both seem keen to reassure the other, with Harry looking more watchful of his wife than usual since their emotional interview in South Africa”. James was referencing this interview she did last year that caught a lot of people off guard about the emotional stress she was under:

"Not many people have asked if I’m ok … it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

This interview was in no way an isolated incident of the couple being unhappy in their situation and responsibilities in the royal family, following which they announced a legal separation from the same and become private citizens instead.

Prince Harry said in a statement, “Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences — a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son,”. A lot of critics also lauded their decision saying that it must be excruciating to be living under such harsh eyes of a whole nation’s media who are out for blood.

All of this makes us believe that Prince Harry’s watchful stance towards his wife is more than just a sign of his love; it is his position as a partner in life to constantly provide emotional support, especially when the distressing factors relate to situations out of anyone’s control.
