7 Bollywood Actresses That Found Love In Their Second Marriage

The world will have you believe that hum ek baar jeete hain, marte hain, and that we fall in love only once in our lifetime. But I would advise you against taking life advice from a college-student Rahul who wore tight AF tees, fell for the first hot girl that walked into the college and was clearly oblivious to his own best friend’s feelings. This boy knew nothing! Love happens as many times as you allow it to happen. If you keep your heart open, there’s nothing stopping it from walking right in. however, when it comes to marriage, our society isn’t very kind to people who got divorced. There are so many Bollywood actresses who married twice and found love in their second marriage. Thankfully, they didn’t give two hoots about log kya kahenge and prioritised their happiness.

There is a lot of stigma people attach to women having had multiple partners. When it’s a relationship, people are still subtle about it. But when you get divorced, our society likes to believe it must be the woman’s fault. There must be something wrong with her – maybe her character, maybe she was not good at taking care of the house, and so on. If you cite compatibility issues as the reason, they say that’s no reason to get divorced. In fact, how many men are actually open to marrying a divorcee?

Our society isn’t quite there yet but these Bollywood actresses faced no such issues as they found love again.

Dia Mirza

She got married to Vaibhav Rekhi, a businessman, in a beautiful wedding performed by a female priest. The actress and social activist fell in love with him during the lockdown and didn’t delay taking the vows to spend their lives together. This comes almost two years after she parted ways with her ex-husband Sahil Sangha who she was with for 11 long years. We’re glad the lockdown brought love to her.

Kirron Kher

We love Kirron Kher’s performance as Bollywood’s coolest and cutest mommy. But not many know that Anupam Kher isn’t her first husband. She was married to a Mumbai-based businessman Gautam Berry and even had a son with him, who is now an actor. In 1985, she divorced Berry and married Kher whom she had known since her college days.

Dipika Kakkar

The TV actress seems quite smitten by her husband Shoaib Ibraham. They fell in love during the shoot of Sasural Simar Ka. Theirs is an inter-faith marriage and she likes to be called Dipika Kakkar Ibraham now, as she has taken on his surname. The Bigg Boss 12 winner and the Sasural Simar Ka actress was first married to Raunak Samson, a pilot. Their marriage lasted for five years; they separated due to compatibility issues.

Neelam Kothari

The fabulous Bollywood wife who is actually more remembered for her films in the 80s and 90s has been married twice. Not many know that Samir Soni is actually her second husband and that they had adopted Ahana two years after the marriage, in 2013. She was married to Rishi Sethia from a business family in the UK. However, the marriage didn’t even last a year! But all’s well that ends well, right?

Archana Puran Singh

Archana is one hell of a torchbearer! After a failed marriage, she was heartbroken and staying away from men. However, when she met Parmeet Sethi at an event, sparks flew and they both were drawn to each other. They went on to be in a live-in relationship during those times when even being seen with a guy would get you beaten up by your parents. He is even younger than her. They tied the knot in 1992 and 29 years later, they say their relationship is the same as it was before marriage. They believe marriage is just a label!

Shefali Shah

The Satya and Delhi Crime actress married Harsh Chaya in 1997. This was just a year before she debuted with Satya. Her performance was appreciated by the critics as well as the audiences. However, both her professional and personal life started to suffer. They got divorced after four years of marriage. Later she went on to marry filmmaker Vipul Shah. They have two sons together.

Renuka Shahane

Even though her first husband Vijay Kenkare was also from the film industry, things didn’t work out between them. However, sparks flew when she but Ashutosh Rana a few years later on the set of Jayate. They both were invited to a Diwali party but since Rana couldn’t make it, the next day he sent a voice mail to Shahane. Eventually, they hit it off and started speaking over long calls for three months before finally meeting on the New Year’s Eve of 1998. Rana never asked her about her past and the duo has been together for more than two decades and has two sons together.
