5 Most Popular Couples Of Bigg Boss And What They’re Up To Now

Bigg Boss is more than your seasonal dose of entertainment; it’s more like a social experiment that puts people in high-stress situations and exhibits their journey through it all. Confinement, an overdose of humans outside of your social circle, being under the constant pressure of not being eliminated, of forming your standing in the house and so much more – the factors that bring out the fight or flight response in contestant are aplenty! When it comes to situations that feel catastrophic, our tendency to seek a mate gets stronger. Like the world experienced during the lockdown – a rise in turbo relationships, that basically get serious too soon. There have been so many couples in Bigg Boss but was it just a need for survival, a pseudo-feeling of romantic intensity?

“When these men and women are sheltered from the world at large, all they can do is sit and obsess over this person. Psychologically, that’s going to make them want that person more, regardless of whether or not they’re actually attracted to them,” says Dr. Goali Saedi Bocci, Ph.D., a psychologist told Bustle about love in reality shows.

“There are a lot of dots, and we kind of fill in the lines based on what we want it to be, what we believe it to be, what we hope it to be,” Dr. Jenn Mann, the host and therapist on VH1’s Couples Therapy and author of The Relationship Fix told Bustle. “What happens on these shows is that it’s expedited. The honeymoon [phase] is even more intense … The things that you have to deal with in your day-to-day life, like, ‘Oh, is he going to plan the date he said he’s going to? Is he responsible? Is he a man of his word? You don’t know because the producers handle it. So there’s so much that you can’t learn about a potential partner in these circumstances that you can only learn in the real world,” Mann explained.

Whether their romances last or wither away as the season ends, people get immensely attached to couples in Bigg Boss. We watch them go from strangers to lovers; we watch them flirt, bond, fight and resolve conflicts. We get so engrossed in their journey, and analysing relationships from a third person’s perspective is always so intriguing and eye-opening!

Here are Bigg Boss’s most popular couples and what they are up to now.
