Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal’s much-awaited romantic drama film Ishq Vishk Rebound has finally hit the theatres on June 21. Produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani, this spiritual sequel of the 2003 film Ishq Vishk has been directed by Nipun Dharamadhikari. This cute Gen Z romance drama marks the big screen debut of Hrithik Roshan’s niece Pashmina Roshan as well as the return of our K3G cute boy Jibraan Khan alongside Mismatched fame Rohit Saraf. And if you’re wondering if it’s worth watching in the theatres, here’s all you need to know before you book the tickets.

The Plot Of Ishq Vishk Rebound

Much like the name of the film, the story revolves around a group of friends Rohit Saraf’s Raghav, Pashmina Roshan’s Sanya and Jibraan Khan’s Sahir. Raghav falls in love with Naila Grrewal’s Riya while Sanya and Sahir realise that pyaar dosti hai. But all is not what it seems. When the couples fall apart and end up in rebound relationships within the group, chaos and drama ensues. Will their friendship survive the test of time and love? Or will they eventually part ways? Watch the film to find out. But in the meantime, here’s what we feel about this film.

1. Performances

Rohit Saraf is a skilled actor and there’s no denying that. He didn’t get all that fan following by doing nothing. The actor delivers yet another endearing performance in the film. Jibraan Khan is an absolute star and shines bright like he should. His promising performance makes you want to see more of him. Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal bring freshness to the table.

2. Character Arc

The arc of each and every character is worth witnessing. There’s nothing more beautiful than watching Raghav, Sanya, Sahir and Riya grow and learn life lessons from their own mistakes throughout the film. And what makes it wholesome is that it’s not just the lead characters but also their families that grow with a beautiful character arc.

3. Music

If you don’t like the music of this film, are you even a real music lover? For a change, the title track remake is fun to listen to and we surely want the new generations to remember this music. ‘Soni Soni’, ‘Rehmat’, and ‘ Chot Dil Pe Lagi’ are total earworms and they’ve been playing on a loop on our playlists, what about yours?

4. Gen Z Romance

Now let’s be honest, Gen Z romance is very different from the Millennial romance but what we told you all of you will relate to the characters irrespective of generations because pyaar mein galti toh sab same hi karte hain? Well, yes, that is absolutely true. But TBH, it’s more Gen Z than Millennial so, you might want to keep your expectations in check.

5. Return Of Rom-Com

Unlike most films of our time, this film isn’t just another remake or a serious story with a lesson to teach us. It’s all about dil ki baatein and thankfully, this film (in many ways) has reminded us how much we need a good romantic comedy-drama to just unplug from life and escape our singlehood by vicariously living through movie characters.

FYI, Ishq Vishk Rebound hits theatres across India on June 21.
