But one ungrateful man in Uttar Pradesh decided to stab his wife on the auspicious of Karwa Chauth! Audacity dekh rahe ho?
As per the latest news report, a man in the Azad Nagar, Kotwali area in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh stabbed his wife multiple times on the day of Karwa Chauth. His act of violence has left his wife in a critical state. The police said that the man, identified as Manoj, came home and began stabbing his wife, Moni, repeatedly. The victim had observed the Karwa Chauth fast for him. This incident took place when their kids had gone to the coaching centre.
This incident came to light when the couple’s neighbours heard the woman’s cries. And when the neighbours came in, the man ran away. The police were called in and they immediately rushed the injured woman to the hospital. The doctors also declared her critically injured when they attended to her.
Reportedly, Manoj has been violent toward his wife before. He beat her up a couple of days ago as well. Moni’s family have said that she has been married to Manoj for 22 years. After this, Moni approached the police but sadly the matter was not looked into. Why Manoj decided to stab Moni this brutally is not yet known. The matter is under investigation.

This is just so sad and horrifying at the same. I cannot fathom what Moni must be going through. Keeping a fast for the man who wants to cut her short must be so traumatising.
