1. Mumbai/Pune to Malshej Ghats

For Mumbaikars, Lonavala, particularly Malshej Ghats makes for a great road trip. The route boasts of lush greenery and gorgeous waterfalls. Stop on the way to enjoy corn on the cob and some good ol’ chikki in the rain. P.S. The roads are in great condition, so you don’t have to worry about an uncomfortable or unsafe journey.

2. Manali to Leh

Remember the scenes from Jab We Met where Kareena Kapoor is dancing to Yeh Ishq Hai? This trip gives you a breath-taking view of the mountains and some rather challenging terrains. During the monsoon, it doesn’t rain much in Leh, so if you hate getting drenched but still want to enjoy great weather, this is the road trip for you.
