5 Tips To Save Money To Go On Vacations After Marriage So You’re Always Travelling!

Getting married was a huge milestone I crossed in my life at 25. It was not a hasty decision because I was getting married to the love of my life, and I have no regrets. One of the best parts about getting married to your best friend is that you can travel to places together. Solo travelling is great but there is a different joy in travelling with your best friend you are married to. If you are someone married in your mid or late 20s and love travelling, you must be wondering how you can save money for your vacations alongside your household expenses. Worry not, frens, I am here to offer five tips on how to save money so you can go on vacations, without worrying about budget!

1. Make a travel fund

Like you must have your personal account, and a joint account for household expenses, make a separate account for your travel diaries. You must not use a single penny from this fund for any personal expense or else you can wave your vacation goodbye!

2. Add a small amount from salaries into travel fund

Each month when your salary gets credited, try and add a small amount to your travel fund. You can start with a minimum of Rs 1000, and keep increasing accordingly.

3. Every time you have sex, add Rs 500 to your travel fund

Okay, this does not mean that you have to add Rs 500 to your fund if you have sex twice or thrice a day. Just once is okay. By doing this, not only are you getting ‘filled’, so is your travel fund. Heheheh!

4. Cut down unnecessary expenses

All those clubs and bars you like to party at will have to wait if you want to travel to go on that dream vacay. Also, that expensive bag and lipstick you have added to your cart, add it to your wishlist, honey or else, no vacation for you.

5. Research about your vacation destination

You cannot just pack your bags and hop on a plane to go on a vacay. You will have to read blogs and see vlogs about your vacation destination. See the cost of travelling, eating and staying there. This will help you plan your stay and also give you an estimation of how much you need to save for that trip.
