This App Is Going To Be Your New Best Friend

I’m always on the lookout for cute outfits, accessories, footwear and make-up to buy online, and I’m lucky that I get to browse these things at work – all in the name of research! I don’t ever need a reason to open up sites like Jabong and Koovs or the Myntra app, even if that means staying up at night doing nothing but online window shopping. But after having shopped online for a long time now, I’ve noticed that I don’t really bother looking for options anymore. If I have my heart set on something, I don’t check its availability on other sites or whether I might score a better deal somewhere else. Frankly, who has the patience for that? However, there are also times when I’ve bought something really cute online, only to discover that it was available much cheaper somewhere else. That feeling of wanting to kick yourself? Yeah, not so cute.

So you can imagine how excited I got when I came across this new app called Voodoo that helps me compare availability and prices of products across different retailer apps. Voodoo is very much like a digital assistant that automatically suggests the best options for me to buy as I surf mobile apps like Myntra, Jabong, Amazon, Flipkart, Shopclues, etc. But that’s not all. It curates deals, compares prices, and even finds me discount coupons, with ZERO effort from my end! Here’s a video showing you the shopping app in action:

I love the fact that I can keep using my phone the way I usually do and Voodoo’s icon automatically appears whenever it finds an opportunity for me to save both time and money. The integration and efficiency is pretty awesome. All you need to do is download the app from the Google PlayStore and open any of the apps you usually shop from. A tiny animation will open up on the top left of your screen whenever there’s a recommendation available from Voodoo.

So what else can this app do? Now this is the part I love. Voodoo has another feature that shows you the nearest available cabs in your vicinity and also suggests cheaper options. All you need to do is input your location and destination, and the app will throw up various options for your to choose from, including Ola Cabs, Uber, etc.

The only glitch I experienced is that the app tends to hang sometimes. I’ve used Voodoo every single time I’ve shopped this past week, and overall it’s a pretty cool app to save time and money. The curation could definitely show better recommendations and it’s Android only at the moment, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with how it’s been working for me.
