#Appturday: Look FLAWLESS With The MakeupPlus App!
Tired of using the same ol’, boring apps? Keep up with the hottest new app launches and rediscover old favourites with Appturday! Appturday’s a weekly post where we rant, rave, and share the apps we’re currently into. This week, we’re talking about the MakeupPlus app!
If you’re like me, you have a love/hate relationship with the fact that there’s a new #InstaTrend that crops up every week or so.
While I double tap whenever I see a badass blogger tackle unicorn hair, a mermaid balayage, or what not, I cannot imagine trying that out myself in a hundred years.
Call me old-fashioned, but that’s just the kind of recklessness I left behind years ago. I mean, I only just got a balayage when I was assured that SmartBond would help protect my fragile and frizzy lionness mane.
But, I must admit, I do give in to the occasional moment of FOMO and wonder how I’d look with millennial pink hair, or even grey, as you can see below…
But because we live in 2017 and there’s an app for everything, I’ve stumbled upon the perfect solution to my first-world problem, thanks to the MakeupPlus – Makeup Camera app.
Quite like the other selfie editing apps you see in the market, the MakeupPlus app promises to help you have that post-makeover moment without the painfully boring appointment at the hairdresser.
Open the app and you’re immediately taken to a dashboard with image editing templates that can be customised.
My first pick was the touch-up tab that allowed me to do everything from trying out pastel hair (YEAY!) to getting the Kim K contour that’s impossible with my noob level skills.
Next up, I played with *the* most exciting feature MakeupPlus has to offer, the counter, a place where you can try all the lipstick shades you’ve ever dreamt of owning, without the silent judgement of bitchy/chatty counter girls.
The fab part about the counter is that it’s got brands like Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury, Lime Crime, GLAMGLOW, etc., that you wouldn’t be able to swatch unless you travel abroad.
Choose the AR Glam tab to get a bunch of filters, conspicuously inspired by snapchat.
So go ahead and give this fun-tastic app a try, and tag The Hauterfly in your selfies with #Appturday!
