Today, I’m going to let you in on another secret of the trade — here’s an app that’ll help you create all those gorgeous posts that feature quotes and layouts. *Drumroll* introducing Canva! Don’t worry, this app will help you make some really pretty creatives, even if you’re visually challenged. It’s the lazy girl’s hack to photoshop that’s all about making design accessible to the world!
Here’s how it works, Canva offers you tons of free, readymade layouts, custom designed for a host of purposes like presentations, posters, social media, infographics, and blog posts. All you have to do is select an option, choose a layout, change the background image, and edit the text. Easy-peasy, right? If you’re looking for a higher level of customisation, you have the option of changing everything from the font family and layout to the colours. Once you’ve created a layout you love, save it and use it as a template for your next foray into the world of design!
The fact that you can import and edit photos on the fly, right from your camera roll, or pick from Canva’s library of stock images is another blessing! The app is synchronised to the platform’s web app, so you’ll always have access to your designs. You can also share your editable template with your team as a finished version or raw file that they can edit on Canva too. Ain’t that cool?
Available on iPhones, unfortunately, there’s no Android app, but you could use the web version!
