Renowned celebrity trainer Vinod Channa, who is known for working with big names like Ambanis and Birlas, Bollywood actors like John Abraham and Shilpa Shetty, has revealed three eating habits that can help you delay ageing skin and get healthy, youthful skin. In a recent blog post, Vinod talked about focusing on nutrition as a way to preserve youthful skin and the long-term benefits of the eating habits that he suggested.

1. Consuming A Nutrient-Rich Diet

Channa emphasised the importance of adding various nutrients to your diet. Channa says that eating proteins, complex carbohydrates, and fibre can have you looking healthy and feeling younger, not only from the outside but from within as well. Protein sources such as lean chicken, fish, legumes and ricotta have properties that help with toning muscles and repairing skin cells.

Complex carbohydrates found in oats, barley, and quinoa provide energy to the body and prevent fatigue. Eating leafy vegetables can provide the body with fibre, vitamins, and minerals that support vitality. Fruits like berries, apples, etc, help to produce antioxidants in the body that promote a natural glow to the skin.

2. Cutting Down On Junk Food

Vinod Channa says that consuming junk food can contribute to inflammation, stress and skin damage. He advises reducing the intake of highly processed and sugary foods to once every 10-15 days. He says that these high-calorie and processed foods speed up the ageing process of the skin. The trainer suggests avoiding refined flours and oils, sugary drinks, excessive alcohol and fried and packaged foods.

3. Practising Mindful Eating For Long-Term Benefits

Vinod Channa emphasises the importance of mindful eating. The trainer talked about the relationship between conscious eating and maintaining youth. He says that eating slowly and paying attention to the food’s flavour and texture prevents overeating. One should express gratitude for the food they eat. This promotes mental well-being and also enhances the eating experience.

Lastly, Vinod Channa emphasises that even small but consistent changes in a person’s daily diet can help with long-term health and also show visible youthfulness.
