If you are someone who likes to binge-watch reality TV shows, then there is no chance that you haven’t watched Shark Tank India Season 1 which was all about innovating business ideas of aspiring Indian entrepreneurs (and lots of meme content). Well, speaking of Shark Tank India, the two female judges of the popular reality TV show – Namita Thapar and Ghazal Alagh recently got featured in the 2022 Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen list. They are making us proud!
On Tuesday, Forbes unveiled its Asia’s Power Businesswomen list for the year 2022. The list honours 20 outstanding women in business across the Asia-Pacific region and you will be glad to know that it featured three Indian women bosses as well. The second Indian businesswoman on the list is Soma Mondal, chairperson of the Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). She is the first woman to head this organisation and Forbes mentioned that since she became the chairperson of SAIL in the year 2021, its annual revenue has grown by 50 per cent which is so amazing, TBH. Namita Thapar is the third Indian woman to be named in Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen 2022 list. She is the executive director of Emcure Pharma.
